cloudwalker
Went out yesterday for a final trip on some OSR. Thought if lucky might manage a dozen. When we got there the field was a mass of yellow with barely a pigeon about. Thought I would give it ago anyway. Hunted about for some thin patches. Set up the magnet at it 's highest and put out a couple of bouncers. 30 mins later the first woodie came in and didn't fly away again. Had about another 4 in the next half hour and thought I might make the dozen. By lunch time I had the 12 but then it really started!! Pigeon after Pigeon kept coming in. I only took 100 shells with me not expecting much but fortunately my mate had plenty. Finally ran out of shells at 5.30. Picked up 73 woodies and 1 Townie. B) So what at first looked like a no hoper day turned out to be a cracker. Funny game this Pigeon shooting!!
Cranfield
There is rape near me that is in full flower and chest high, but the pigeons are still dropping into the tractor tracks, the thin spots and round the edges. Congrats to you for sticking it out and getting a result. B)
