ok had a chance to use it now the ting sound has completely gone it still has an acceptable noise level using no10 mec powder bush with magnum powder and 5/8 oz of no.4 shot in a 21/2" case.

the hole lot is of though the sound barrier a bit sharpish like

so we are stuck with some bam sound even though there is no report from it,

the new baffle i made up out of T6 aluminum 16mm hole with a reduction to 15mm at the muzzle the thread on the end was a bit funny 35.5mm by 1.25mm ! gave it 5 chambers 15mm wide with 6 7mm holes into the bore each one ramped forward. and there is less weight on the end of the barrel .

at 25 yards a A3 bit of paper was covered with no space for a bunny to sneak through .

may try some glass pack round the barrel as it has holes drilled in it By the company that converted it when new.

there is a good 6" from the end of the barrel to the baffle so i could make one 10 or12" long

The old baffle consists of a brass end cap and 4 core plugs with a single hole in the middle
