So here go's been thinking of going fac for a while now. And thinking of 3 options but only needing one fac air or 22lr or 17hmr.for rabbits and targets. I have the land just over 1200 acres across 4 farms would I get a open ticket or need the ball ache of applying for every bit of land the farms have to use it on. 2nd is would it be a problem that I share my cabinet with me brother who is a sgc holder could the blots magazine be sorted in ammo safe and trigger lock the gun making the gun non shoot able . Or would it be easier to pay for him and apply for his fac at the same time

Depends on your experience and where you live really.

Nephew was granted open FAC with no mentoring on first application, as was his mate just last month.

Mates niece keeps her shotgun in her Fathers cabinet which holds firearms so long as his firearms are fitted with trigger locks.

We're in Cumbria; your licensing authority may do things differently.

Well i had me sgc 4 years now renewal is in march next year very little rifle experience shot 17hrm hand full of times a 22lr a hand full of time use to have air rifles befor sgc. Cambridgeshire is my police force but looking into getting a mentor or becoming a member of a club as there is one about 10 miles from my door that do 22lr or travel further 30miles as a client of mine is a range officer of a club and i know he uses .44 magnum revolver and rifle as i have shot them to
