Hendrix's rifle
Now, I know a lot of you don't like smk and even less a bipod on a spring air rifle however I tried it. Its an smk 19-18 and I fitted a cheap £20 bipod on to it as I wanted to try it out. I was a bit sceptical at first however after fitting a new nikko mount master I was very surprised at the outcome! So I tried it at around 20 yards and was getting groups a little bit bigger than a 1 pellet hole. I took it out to a lasered 42 yards where I was hitting half a golf ball every shot. I then waited an hour or so and had a couple of smokes waiting for the rabbits to come out. By this point its around 2am. Sure enough, 45 yards away a rabbit popped up and took a 14g sniper light to the head which made one hell of a crack! I have taken some pictures how ever due to it being around -8 degrees everything had a layer of ice over and ruined the pictures... Il be out again on Saturday so will try again! Good old smk springer with a bipod eh
FalconFN
Well done It makes no difference what make your rifle is if it is consistently accurate. I think the main problem is that although you can use a stock mounted bipod to good effect, you won't be able to take standing or sitting shots without changing the poi, so it can be limiting when hunting. The big mistake is clamping one to the barrel - that really ruins accuracy.
bruno22rf
Well if nothing else it's at least doubled the value of the gun
Hendrix's rifle
Well if nothing else it's at least doubled the value of the gun There's always one in all fairness I prefer the smk over the gamo any day. Saying that I have had it at least 7 years... Just over 11 and a quarter ftlbs with 14g pellets and pretty accurate. Only thing that annoys me a bit is the weight, its a bit noisey and cocking it meaning slower follow up shots. Bar that, happy days
