VULTURE
Hi What's the difference between a .22lr and a .22wmr Taurus revolver, had a look in the net and as far as I can see they are identical apart from one is a 8 shot and mine is a 7 shot so in theory stronger than the 8 shot. Cheers. Vulture
Underdog
Chambers will be different. Does it come with two chambers.
VULTURE
Hi No just the one, I can't see how the chambers are different, the cylinders are the same length, the caliber is the same,no rifling until the barrel. The standard lr round only goes halfway down the cylinder and the wmr would only go 3/4 down the cylinder. The only difference I can find is the shot count. VULTURE
Ah. Never mind,I've found the answer, the wmr case is slightly bigger despite being the same caliber and will not fit the lr camber. Cheers. Vulture.
Underdog
This is my hole point about calibre's. Most just go by bore sizes, I don't. I include the cartridge too! 22lr traditionally is a .222" bore. WMR uses a .224" bore. The difference is nothing but add the fact lr uses heeled bullets and WMR are not the chamber differences are alot. All lr ammo I have shot the lr cases come out like a mini acp case and velocity is way down. Most combination 22 rimfires revolvers came with two cylinders or the option to buy another cylinder.
