Harry Skinters
Shot this last month after finding a Teal on the pond which had been partly eaten by something. Baited with a Pigeon and true to form the following day the Pigeon had gone and this was in the exact spot where the Pigeon had been. Haven't seen any since but no doubt they'll be back as they must be breeding about now.

Harry Skinters
Yes, nasty little ****. Did you use a raft trap?
bumpy22
no just a live catch trap on a bank, but well covered. the rafts are the way to go though
Harry Skinters
Considered using traps but I can't check them everyday. I've been going down there with the .22LR on the off chance there will be another on the bank.

Harry Skinters
Good lad those little devils are virilent killers , got to take them every chance we get. Couldn't agree more. Might see a recovery of the Watervole population as well as preventing any more bird losses. Prefer the .22LR as it causes less disturbance on the Ponds.
