fieldwanderer
Thought i'd start something off which may help everyone; When you go to your local gunshop, they don't usually have a price list right? so you say you want say, some 12g 6's preferably 32g load. Off he goes and comes back with some cartridges to your spec, no doubt they're not the cheapest he's got Sooo, here we go, I should think a lot of people on here have found cartridges for a very reasonable price and it would be nice to just go and ask for the cheapest he has "can I have 250 12g lylevale's 32g 6's please" for example, which just happen to be the cheapest he's got- THAT ARE ACTUALLY WORTH BUYING! invector
Our gunshop does have a price list and refers to it each time you buy cartridges.
henry d
No my shop has a list and I find it pays to buy 1000 as a minimum, preferably 5-6000.......... or do you work for Lyalvale ??
duster
My local spot has a list taped to the desk. If it isn't on the list, it takes him 2 seconds to look it up on the computer. If I want a good cheap cartridge. I just ask him, he's an honest chap. Cheers Duster
fieldwanderer
yeah, all fair comment one of the gunshops round here has a list - if you ask for it, they're all honest enough if you ask the question but I thought it'd save a bit of hassle. No, I don't work for lylevale (wish I did!) was just a name off the top of my head The whole idea was to get an idea of what cartridges are good and cheap at the same time and so it'd be easy to just ask for suchansuch and get a good cartridge at a good price with no fuss. soo, instead of the original question, recommend a good budget cartridge for pigeon shooting please. OldBill
Unless you ask my local shop for a brand he jus comes back with the nearest (dearest) that comes to hand.
njc110381
I use Gamebore Clear Pigeon 30g #6 fibre. Good cheapish shells that are fairly clean, hit hard, and pattern well from my gun
