lithium Battery for 50W halogen?

Hi,

I have been using one of the small 6800mah Chinese 12v dc lithium battery packs (the blue ones you see on ebay) without any problems on my nitesite NS 50 for a couple of years and Its been fantastic. I have always wanted a deben tracer lithium battery pack for my lamp, a clulite cb2 with 50w bulb, but could never part with £200 for a battery and have stuck to lugging a 18ah sealed lead acid about.

I purchased this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-15000mAh-Li-ion-Rechargeable-Battery-Lithium-ion-Power-AC-Charger-EU-Plug-/351353513616?hash=item51ce4d2690:g:sfAAAOSwEeFVE-PC thinking I would give it a whirl and at 15000mah though it would give decent run time for my lamp. When it arrived I was really disappointed as the lamp does not work with it.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what the issue is or am I just being stupid? Is the lamp drawing too much power for it?

Grasp the nettle and buy a deben. Had mine , 22ah, for over 3 years probably only charged it 10 times. I use it at least once a week , sometimes twice or more if I'm not working the following day. It's a lot to lay out initially but worth every penny IMHO. Team it up with a 35w hid lamp and you won't look back.

Does the lamp work whilst the battery's plugged in to the mains??
