toka_shigazu
I think that I have decided it will be a CZ rifle that I'll get but now which one? Theres a lot of talk about 2 screws vs a screw and a lug, for the barell fixing arrangement, and this making a difference to accuracy? Its for hunting so i would prefer the varmint [with a moderator and bipod] as it has a shorter barrel to attach a moderator to, for balance, but then i dont know if the shorter barrel will affect long distance shots in any way etc. Also i then think it may be better to have a synthetic stock to lessen maintenance althoug i dont know how easy it is attaching quick release clips to a synthetic stock....i'm quite a traditionalist as have always gone for wood. I do like the look of the nickel plated barrel but practically it would be a giveaway in the open hunting. as you can see from your help i have decided the make but i now need some advice on the model? thannks
Quercus
I have the Silhouette and have no complaints. It comes with studs already attatched, so you will not have any problems. While CZ wood seems on the whole to pretty good you are going to be lucky to find anything outstanding on a £200 rifle. Whichever you choose you won't be disappointed. Teal
Varmint + American have regular stocks AFAIK. To be honest they are all top guns, you're best bet is to try them out at your local gundealer.
