fenboy
When you drive 90 miles to look at a car that is in "Excellent" condition only to find its been filled and re-sprayed all down one side by Stevie Wonder , the finish was so rough it would take skin off your fingers if you ran them over it
TONY R
Evil bay is good for this sort of thing, i WON A Passat Estate was a right lemon, The pictures had been very cleverly taken. it had had a very big knock in the NS front corner at some time and pannel fit was dire, and the A Post had been replaced and the crappy welds covered in filler and covered in roofing flash banding. Then he starts saying its my problem i Have to buy it. YEA Right should have listed it properly mate.
Alex C
I drove from Darlington to just North of Glasgow last time to look at a VW van. Asked all the questions and bloke said it was mint. Rocked up and saw that one of the doors was caved in, asked the fella if he thought I would miss it ? He said there is a perfect door in the back, and there was. Only problem it was a totally different colour. The rest of the van was just a massive crappy mess. I nearly swung for him he was such a *****
stuey
Last van i bought was unseen and involved a taxi to the airport, flight to Cardiff, shuttle bus to the station and then a local train into the valleys. Luckily it was as described and a bargain too. Then a 300+ mile drive back to Newcastle! Heading over the water on Friday afternoon to collect my latest purchase. Flight, taxi then ferry and a 200 mile drive home. Stu
SimpleSimon
Have to admit I've been lucky. Bought a motorbike a few years back in Leeds, unseen off ebay and when I arrived to collect it I couldn't believe the condition, felt like I was robbing the bloke. Then got my Xtrail from an online ad as well, bloke raved about it on the phone and said he'd underpriced it. "we'll see" I thought, but again it was just as good as he'd told me, makes me smile every time I start it up. The wife's ford fusion on the other hand is a heap of ****. Bought it in a rush and regretted it almost immediately, but now stuck with it as it's cost us so much to sort it out.
