kennett
Morning all, after a bit of advice regarding cartridge displays. I have been given a collection of moderately interesting paper cased and odd cartridges and want to build a display case to go on the wall in the shoot room. I have managed to scrounge a mahogany faced ply box which is pretty much perfect, but need ideas for what to line it with? And do I put shelves in for the cartridges other glue gun them straight to the backing. All ideas welcome
ditchman
Line it with green or red baize...........IMO dont glue them in...use brass picture wire and unravel it and use one strand at a time ...or fuse wire and tie or twist it at the back of the box............line the cartridges up in an arc ..maybe.........then down load and print some info off the net from the original packaging or sales lit' cut it out and wash it with strong tea to age it and stick it in the box...... there you are ..a few ideas to start with

kennett
Not quite as impressive as that, but along the same lines!
bazzashadow
before I was into shooting and about 30 years ago I was at a car boot and sore a display case that had the different cartridges in it all dismantled in a line, even with the shot in a pile. I was interested in it but it was £30 and at that time £30 was a lot of money. now I am kicking myself every time I see any displays, but I have never seen one like that again gutted
