la bala
Was doing mine this morning and wondered how other people do thiers. I have seen people standing in the cab looking through the front screen at rocker gear whilst flicking the starter. I have seen some people with a helper turning the front pulley. I just take the switched live teminal off the starter. I have a piece of wire with terminal on one end which goes to starter, the other end i just dob on battery+. If you try this, first make sure the stop strangler is in stop position, I pull mine out and put a set of mole grips on it. And with the rule of nine, jobs a goodun. mrwabbits
I use a l/r cranked starting handle and slowly crank it over following the sequence of firing order and the valves rocking . With the battery disconnected. Call me olde skool , but them starting handles do come in useful sometimes.
