greenergp
I was out today and got soaked to the skin in my jacket, so its time for a replacement. I am thinking of getting one of the German army Flectarn Goretex parkas. Has anyone used one and are they any good?
panoma1
Yes they are! unless your wildfowling in early season buy one size bigger so you can layer up, the flectarn over trousers are excellent too, the ones with the integral bracers! anser2
I had one years ago though greyer than the one in the photo. Ok in a shower but let the water through in a heavy rain and the long flaps on the hem were always getting caked in mud and rotted after a few seasons. Guttersnipe
I'm using the French Army Gore-tex jacket - had one for the last three seasons that has stood up really well but just bought a second while they are available at a good price. never had any issue with leaks - as said, buy bigger than you need and layer up for warmth and to keep cool on the walk out.... they have a hood that rolls up into the collar so it doesn't flap about in the wind if not required. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321801605468?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&var=510725246855&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
