foosa
Does anyone know if the trigger on a 2012 beretta 682 gold e is adjustable for weight of pull? I've had mine for six weeks and after taking the top off the trap house again yesterday! Decided to measure the pull weight, it's 2lbs first barrel and 4 1/2lbs top barrel, 2lbs isn't something I'm happy with on a trap gun and would prefer it at least 3 1/2 lbs. It is not adjustable for weight, I am not aware of any clay guns that are ! If the bottom barrel pull weight is indeed a measured 2 lbs then it is too light and may well have been something that the previous owner had done. I had my old spec 682 pulls dropped to 3 lbs for both barrels back in the 90's but wouldn't advise it as a rule. You need to get the gun over to a competent trigger smith and have it fixed. Westward
It could be worn sears or bents or both but you need a proper gunsmith. It's a simple job in theory but It needs an experienced hand. Modern Berettas have heavy trigger pulls, probably to minimise the risk of litigation and it's quite common to have them lightened. Maybe yours has been poorly done. CGs with the DTS trigger system have 2 pull weight settings because whilst their standard triggers are really nice for sporting, they're too light for trap.
