Wooder
I have a field of freshly drilled wheat about 2 mins from my house, the field is surrounded by woods, I had some good bags off this field in the winter of the rape, stubble in the summer. it was loaded with pigeons this morning when I drove past. my question:- how long will hold their attention as I cant shoot until Sunday? JDog
Not long if there are good numbers using the field. Sunday may be the end of it.
Adge Cutler
As JDOG.. depends on the flock size and the acreage of the field and what else is available locally. I've seen pigeons on a 20 acre seedbed for 3 or 4 days and the same volume of birds on the same field for 2 or 3 weeks. Unlike crows and rooks pigeons will only pick out the exposed seed so wont hang around once its started to sprout. I should think it would be worth a pop Sunday though because they don't normally all just up sticks and leave en bloc.. there will be quite a few stragglers I expect.
