Hola,

I have fallen in love with a Daystate MK3, second hand £725

Right Handed Stock Thumbhole

11.96 Ft lb

Ali Case

Wood is in perfect condition

Adjustable Everyting

.177 Cal

Bipod

Nikko Stirling Diamond 10-50x60

Will this complement my RWS 500? Or am I buying the same gun in effect? I will get the RWS converted to FAC though when my cert comes through.

All in all about £2000 worth of gear

What ya rekon?

lovely gun but i would get the serial number and check out date of manufacture,i think there was problems in the first ones built.you hear of problems with the electronics but i think that the folks dont read the manual before adjusting the power.i would nt be scared of one daystate build quality is impeccable and accuracy 2nd to none.daystate is at the fore front of airgun technology and glad to say leaving theoben miles behind.just check out the ft results, they also make the rws500 too.

Not being a stick in the mud but the 11.96 ft/lb seems a little near the mark.

Double check what pellets that reading is taken from and for God's sake make sure you are not buying a class 1 firearm by mistake.

Apart from that, enjoy

This is a bargain mate, take his hand off. I had one of these, they can shoot the shoot the wings off a nat they`re that accurate. Whatever you do don`t try and adjust the power above it`s legal limit because you will burn out the electronics, if you want it on an FAC get a Daystate registered smith to adjust it, they have the specialist software for the task.

I wouldn`t call them a field rifle though, I found mine to heavy for hunting but I did have a Bushnell elite 4200 6x24x40 on it. You`re probably aware they make a very distinct sound compared to other air rifles, possibly down to the very quick lock time. Very easy to cock, you can do it with your thumb it`s that easy.

Don`t worry about the electronics, if there is any major issues with them they`d be well known by now.

You`ll probably find it will out shoot your RWS, but I`ve got to say mine was easily outshooting Theobens etc

(the only comp it had were air arms 400/410 range at the time), but my thumbhole Prairie Falcon out shoots it !

Does this mean that the electrickery gubbins inside it will not allow it to go over the 12lb limit?

I am still of the opinion that 11.86lb is sailing rather close to the wind.

well if thats the case, thats some clever magic electrical "gubbins"!
