steve_b_wales
I use the above NV scope on my .243, and change it from my day scope. It's always fitted on exactly in the same place every time. Last night, I aimed at a Fox no more than 60 yards, and missed it completely. The crosshairs were placed on the heart/lung area. Later, my mate shot (we think) the same Fox, and I placed it out at 100 yards to test my scope again. The first shot was aimed at the head area, but missed. The second shot was aimed at the stomach area, and we could see, and hear the bullet hit. But on inspection, the bullet hit it's back leg, which was approx' 6 inches from my aim point. Not sure why this happened, because when I fit it to the rifle, I even tighten up the mounts to the same tension. The scope is supposed be suitable for using on 3 different rifles, but I have my doubts now. The only option I have is to use my .243 as a dedicated NV rifle, which I didn't want to do, and is why I bought this NV scope.
steve d
I wouldnt be confident swapping scopes without rezeroing no matter how anal id been about making sure it was in exactly the same place. A slight discrepancy, undetectable by the mk1 eyeball at the rifle is quite a way off at 100yds.
