flippermaj
How well does the synthetic Matt black finish hold up when the gun is used for wildfowling? I have had camo finish guns and they are great, no rust spots and a quick wipe down to get rid of the mud and they are as good as new. Are the black ones as good? IEH
I have a camo Supernova and have no problems. A friend has an identical gun in matt black and it's frequently orange by the time we get back to the cars. Only superficial and easy to clean if dealt with promptly, but a huge difference between the two.
Smokersmith
My black ones of old have all rusted pretty quickly on the barrels ... and the black gets mud ingrained into it. That can be brought back but never look like new. Camo ones wear, but no worrying orange on the barrel. Nothing I have for fowling looks great after a season or two, so I now run my auto's to failure now.
