Wingman
A mate of mine has just returned from the US and brought some of this cleaner back, he gave me a bottle. Anyone every used it is it any good for shotgun bores?
Stonepark
As a cleaner will do fine as long as you avoid woodwork oil finishes and painted/varnished surfaces, but not a long term lubricant. For cleaning gas semi auto internals, ports etc, it's ideal as it tries to clean everything.
SPAS 15
I use the M-Pro 7 non foaming gun cleaner. It is good. I use it for cleaning my shotguns and for general cleaning on my rifles. You can use it in ultrasonic cleaners. Not got an ultrasonic cleaner at the moment but for really stubborn dirt or inside of moderators dipping parts in M-Pro 7 overnight or longer to loosen carbon build up etc works well. Any bits in the fluid can be put through a coffee filter and it can be used again. I cannot remember where i saw it advertised here in the UK but they only sold small bottles. I have a lot of shotguns and could see myself using quite a bit so i contacted M-Pro 7 for a distributor here in the U.K. from where i could purchase a 5Ltr bottle. They got back to me very quickly and put me in contact with Viking Arms. My local gun shop is a customer of Viking Arms and they told me to just pop into my local gun shop and order the 5ltr bottle. I found M-Pro 7 and Viking Arms very helpful. Although the product is not cheap if you can warrant buying a 5Ltr, maybe you could share the cost with a shooting buddy, it does work out cheaper and don't be tempted to buy it from Brownells as it is twice the price i paid and their postage is excessive. From Brownells it is £143.90 + postage and i paid £69.95 for the same size. https://www.brownells.co.uk/epages/UK.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/UK/Products/23147945700008/SubProducts/945700128 I personally can recommend it. Hope you find the above helpful. Edited March 2, 2017 by SPAS
Wingman
Thank you, I did use some of the trigger group on my Auto-5 and it came up a treat. It was cheap in the US about 7 dollars for the pump dispenser, from a shop with the unfortunate name of "***** Outdoor Goods".. May get some more next I go...
