hightower666
So since packing in football last year I took to shooting. I've been shooting an air rifle at targets for about 3 months now, and love it. My mate has a small holding and he has issues with rats, so tonight is going to see my first ratting session. I'm going with a more experienced mate, and I think we're going to use his NV setup since it's my first time, but any general tips for my first go? Hopefully I'll be able to put up some photos tomorrow with my kills.
David.Evans
Zero your gun at 15/20 yards , Tak a bit of board with you and rub peanut butter over it , sit back and have a good time It's great fun Atb
davelid
Look for the run were the rats like to cross or move between cover and sit and wait. Nv is good but a lamp with a red filter on is fine.i use 22 zeroed at 12 yards if there's plenty of rats there it's fast shooting and great fun
Ridgeway Redneck
How did you get on Hightower? I'm also going for a night on the rats tomorrow for my first time. I've not shot an air rifle for a long while so I'm looking forward to something a bit different from the shotguns.
