I'd wait and see first. Such has been talked about every few weeks from November about new bills etc.

The Government have a lot on their plate at the moment, what with falling ratings, issues regarding migrants from the new 10 member states plus preparing for an election. Maybe it's a diversion, maybe it is the real thing, or maybe it's wishful thinking by ministers who are feeling that time for a ban will soon be running out with the General Election not far away and a credible opposition.

What is sure is that any new bill (as opposed to the old one being reintroduced) will need to go through all its stages from first reading, committee stage, etc. etc right from the beginning. What is also sure is that the Government will not want to start campaigning for a General Election with mass protests and civil disobedience going on (look what happened to John Major's Government). It also appears that 40% of Labour MPs when polled want Blair out by the time of the next election.

Keep yer chins up lads-I am not sure this would happen quite so soon

If the law was put forward in the house of commons, it then has to go through the house of lords- As you know, they are all aristocracy, therefore most of them have been brought up with hunting and shooting. If the house of Lords say no to it, then it will be thrown away.

If by some reason it gets through the house of lords, it has to be finally agreed by the queen. As you know she and the royal family are highly into their country sports, therefore she will say no.- It is then thrown out until the next time some clown suggests it.

Until the royal family goes, I think we are pretty safe
