BreweryGrunt
I brought home a pheasant from today's shoot and having got it home I have noticed a lot of little white mites which are about the size of a grain of salt crawling over the birds feathers. Is this common? I haven't noticed it before if it is? Do they affect the birds meat?
kyska
They'll not affect the meat, most poultry get mites.

ShootingEgg
Sound like red mites thats haven't had their dinner off the bird yet. Nothing to worry about for yourself..
