kyska
Guys, Any comments on the trout fishing, please. The owner is a friend of mine, I live very local to the site, who also owns hadfield guns in Loughborough, the fishing as I'd heard became very poor until he took over. I can't comment on it now, but if Simon runs the fishing as well as his Gunshop, and the clay course at the fishery it should be good. Give me five minutes and I'll ring a fisherman friend for a honest opinion. Edited February 4, 2017 by kyska
kyska
Ok, I've just spoken to a local, his words were 'it's a pond with fish in it, it ok', BUT he's not been for 3 months. Not much help, sorry.
pegasus bridge
I've not fished it for trout for a couple of years (just before the chap form hadfield took over), fishing was poor. I've fished it since in the carp lake with my lad, very very easy fishing , 4ft of water and 3 ft of fish ! But they had made some improvements to the facilities - new cafe and toilets cleaner, there was a friendly young lady on break from uni on the counter. She did suggest they'd stocked some bigger fish into the trout pool - I'll be giving it a go in the summer ...

Hadfields is the link. Step-son has just bought a gun from them and part of the deal was 100 clays which he's just used at Lakeside. He sent the odd photo' and suggested that I have a look at the web-site. I visit occasionally and a couple of hours with the rod would make a change from strolling around Bradgate even as delightful as that is.
