activeviii
I have bought some lights, from and auction, to go in shedshop. I didnt see them before hand so my fault i guess. Problem im having is they all have this battery back up emergency light goings on. all i want is on/off Can i wire them in without using the battery side of things, just plain and simple on and off. Any help offered would be grand. thank you for your time Phil.
Simon1
You could take out the batteries for a simple fix I guess, but it would probably be better to remove the charging circuit too. Looks like 2 Live connections. I would assume one should be permanent, and the other for on/off control. So you could potentially use them as is & have them turn on upon loss of power, which my be useful. I've no recent experience with these though & can't zoom in to see enough detail Edited February 16, 2017 by Simon1
activeviii
i had the feeling i would have to run a permanent live to it. it wouldn't be the end of the world but i have been hearing people have battery failers and the charge circuit have issues so it would be easier if i could just bypass that part all together and just run with wall switch its sat on bench still so photos can be added. rovercoupe
If your going to the effort of taking out the charge circuit then rip it all out and put led tube in and direct wire, job done!
activeviii
I have done it. Pulled the charger and battery out. Rewire the other end of tube, plug power in and all working. I did think about led but I have two boxes of t5 tubes. Thank for help gents.
