Cosd
What do you guys think of the following: www.goldsmiths.co.uk/Omega-Seamaster-300M-Gents-Watch/p/17330822 www.goldsmiths.co.uk/Omega-Speedmaster-Gents-Watch/p/17331060/ http://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/Omega-Speedmaster-Stainless-Steel-Gents-Watch/p/17331061/ (quite a fan of this one to be honest) http://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/Longines-Flagship-Gents-Watch/p/17350476/ http://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/Breitling-Aerospace-Titanium-Mens-Watch/p/17531238/ http://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/Breitling-Avenger-II-Seawolf-Mens-Watch/p/17531158/ Sorry for the long list, obviously i dont expect you to go through them all. I think my favourites are the speedmaster or the avenger II Of those I think the Speedmaster would be a reasonable investment because of it's affiliation with the Moonwatch and so will always have an interest and following. Various vintages of the moonwatch have seen prices go through the roof. Personally I would look for a vintage model, but if you wanted new and wanted to keep it as close to the original as possible you can look at the manual wind: http://www.chrono24.co.uk/omega/speedmaster-moonwatch-professional-chronograph--id5756980.htm Or the Auto version: http://www.chrono24.co.uk/omega/speedmaster-moonwatch-professional-42-mm--id3594248.htm

I think my favourites are the speedmaster or the avenger II All nice watches, buy what YOU like, for me the cachet of new is not that appealing, loads of used safe queens out there, i feel you are drawn bt the 0%. A interest free purchase card will broaden your horizons The Breitling are a no go for me. A bit look at me. Of those I think the Speedmaster would be a reasonable investment because of it's affiliation with the Moonwatch and so will always have an interest and following. The debate on if watches are an investment can go on and on, but if you choose the right model, you will make cash through time. I have my name on a waiting list for the new Daytona which is nothing other than an investment, won't wear it and will sell it on. Since you mentioned Rolex (love or hate them) your money is generally safe in a sports steel subby or a GMT ii (if you get good ones). Don't pay over the odds for one as they are easily purchased second hand if you know where to look. If you are not sure who to trust and who not to, use someone that a friend has used before (I am talking about second hand here). I would have no issues buying a used Rolex without paperwork from a reputable dealer but would not go near one from that bloke down the pub! Anyway have a look at this guy and whilst he is based in Edinburgh will ship all over the UK, trusted and reputable bloke. http://edinburghwatchcompany.co.uk/ Good luck but make sure whatever you buy you buy because you like it and want to wear it, not because you think it will make you a few quid down the line. The shop in the link has a nice Rolex explorer at your budget, another perennial favourite.
