Hello mate.

What I'm about to say is based on nothing more than my own experiences with the fin fire and of course personal preference. The finfire was the first rim fire I ever bought. Some twenty years ago. Not sure if they have change much if at all.

I found finfire to be about the most reliable. Best looking. Most accurate tack driving rimfire I have ever had the pleasure of putting in my shoulder. The longer barrel made the rifle superb for shooting off hand out to 100 yards. The balance was perfect in my opinion. The action was faultless and in operation worked flawless. I never had a single feeding problem with anything I put in it. The trigger was ........ well it's a Sako. So as good as it gets.

Mine was the 22" varmit and coupled with the Sako sound mod it was and still is the king of rimmys as far as I'm concerned.

I can't speak for the quad. But I don't thing your find much if any bad comments on the Sako finfire. My advice would be to buy an older original finfire there are a few about but will be the best money you've spent.

The only HMR Finfire are the new ones. I have shot Annie, HW and a Quad HMR currently have a 14 inch TH Anschutz. All are very good, the shorter barrel has ****** all real world impact but makes for a handier rifle out of a vehicle. All are very good rifles I would stick with the HW the shorter barrel is a bonus.

i had a quad many years ago in 22. but sold it when i bought my current savage hmr. that was mainly down to the fact it never got used. my 2 mates who i shoot with have anschutz 22 and a cz hmr. the other has just bought a weihrauch hmr. on this basis and using alot of others in the past i would say stick with your weihrauch. they are all good rifles but there is no point in fixing something that is not broke.
