Firearm for 111

Hi I have recently got my FAC variation back and it came with a firearm form 111, can anyone tell my what this form is for please?

That's a temporary permit, commonly known as a Section 7 authorizing you to hold guns you already have if your FAC runs out before the new one is issued.

I got this form as well as my FAC, it must be a mistake from the licensing department.

I just called them and the reason I have received a form 111 is because they do not write expanding ammo on your certificate anymore and they have changed the quantity from 1000 to 750 for vermin controllers. The form 111 is a temporary form that will cover me for 1 year until I use up the extra ammo.

Makes sense. You'd think they might have mentioned it in a covering letter.

What exactly have they authorised you to hold on the permit.

 

If I understand what you have written correctly, the permit covers the ammunition you have in your possession that is above and beyond your fac maximum hold allowance.

 

Talk about micro management, would have been far easier to just up your hold amount.

For example, I had 1000 solid and 1000 expanding on my FAC, now I've got 750 rounds and I have 1 year to shoot the excess rounds.
