In 12g it is a waste of money on both case and the extra wad column required.......not to mention the faffing about getting the wad column to the right height in order to close the case properly!........dunno how/if the extra height of wad column required would affect ballistics /pressures?

Best use 3" cases or cut the 3.5" cases down to 3" and use a wad column height, as per a tested formula!

well a waste of money is in the eye of the beholder. i thought bismuth would be cheaper than shooting pure gold.

my reloading is once and done, whatever the shell is. as for the column height and whatnot, who cares? as long as the datas good?
