Keith RW
Evening all Could anyone tell me if there is there a ballistics programme that can be used to indicate the different scope poi's for change of ammunition weights/velocities Trying to assess different poi's between .22 eley subs 40gn/1065fps and remington yellow jacket 33gn/1500 fps prior to field testing over different ranges. Initially tried at 50m so far with yellow jackets 1.5" higher than eley subs Funny feeling someone is going to say "try chairgun" which I have looked at and cannot get my head around inputting second set of info with initial zero being 50m for subs but 1.5" higher with yellow jackets
Keith RW
Might have just answered my own query.... Just been playing with chairgun and if i adjust first zero to 15.5m so that impact point is 1.5" above set zero for subs with relevant weight and velocities input into two of the diferent "calibre" tables then looks like they can be compared
Stonepark
Putting the info into chairgun is not that difficult once you understand how it works and how you then save data sets. Eley subs 50 yard zero 38gr bc 0.115 Yellow Jackets 92 yard zero 33gr bc 0.107. To give 1.51 at 50 yards Eley every 25 yards from 0 -1.75 - 0.19 0.0 -2.52 -7.56 -15.3 Yellow jackets -1.75 0.46 1.51 1.15 -0.82 -4.67 -10.6 - 18.
