wymberley
At the moment I'm having to work hard for every pigeon I get - in the past couple of days, 14 hours in a hide for 35 plus a few various - so I really don't want to have committed birds veering off at the last moment while still out of range. Could anyone kindly tell me if they know of the Subject bit of kit running on 12 volts that I can place between a flapper battery and the timer? I'm not fussed if this would need its own separate power supply as I can either get another battery or run it in parallel from the existing one. Many thanks. deny essex
Look on the bay, some are cheap from china but require a little wiring and not always quite the right UK frequency but do work, other more expensive ones near ready to go also. Ones for gates can be a little large and far more costly.
wymberley
Many thanks. Spotted some of those and you're right on all counts. However, it seems that A1 Decoys might just have the answer. Although the flap duration and timed interval is fixed (which is a shame, but never mind), you can also turn it off. deny essex
Your welcome,I use my Chinese ones with a Chinese interval timer , and white speed controler if needed.
wymberley
Shame really; for another few quid A1 could have had the perfect set up.
filzee
I have a remote for mine from China. Works very well at good range too. Cost about £12 and came in a week
wymberley
I've bought one but am just waiting (weather) to try something before reporting on it. Edit: Quick delivery and ease of set-up (simply crimp on 4 spade terminals) are worth a few quid to me so bought this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Remote-Control-Switch-Keyfobs-Max/dp/B00CUR9N6I/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 Some clown doing a review said they work to 400 metres line of sight so I took the range finder. Didn't need it, of course. I got one for the 'off' facility. The 'on' works much further but is of no consequence as the 'off' limit is 32 full paces on mine.
