Evening Shooting Range London?

Good day

My name is Shaun 39 years old born and raised in South Africa currently living in London United Kingdom for the last 13 years, wife son and mortgage.

Both sides of my family has farms so as a young lad air file and .22lr was something that was placed into my hands by father, cousins & uncles. This does not make me the king of hunting or shooing but very familiar with gun safety, hunting and bushcarft.

I have been lurking on this forum for quite some time and gathering information about the right air rifle and how to go about climbing the ladder as so to speak. And I must thank all for the valuable info that most have provided.

I am not asking for permission to shoot on land!

This is my current situation and I have set myself goals that I will achieve BUT baby steps will be my procedure as that's what has been advised.

I work 8-5 in the building trade and have released that most Shooting Ranges close at 6.00pm around North London which leaves Saturdays the only time to practice but I look after my son on Saturdays as my wife works.

London Bridge Stock Exchange has a gun club but only on Wednesday evenings and it's not really the place I wish to practice at.

East Barnet has a gun club which I would love to join but closes at 6.00pm.

Hounslow has one that's perfect and has loads to offer but it's kinda down south and bit of a mission to treck to BUT I am willing to do if I can't find anything else.

I have searched the inter webs but nothing for .22lr most clay pigeon up North London side, oh there's a Hendon one but only open Sat and Sun for a little while.

The Question

Does anyone know a little hidden gem that is open during the evening times that offer .22lr and air rifle range shooting up near North London side or Central?

Why do most shooing ranges close at 5-6pm if most work?

Anyways thanks again for all the solid advice much appreciated BUT I need to find and join a Gun Club as that's the first priority before stepping into the field.

Cant help with shooting in or around London - but can shed some light on opening times:

A lot of opeing times are dictated by councils and other governing bodies for noise reasons, you'll probably find out of London clubs/grounds are open later if they are in a more remote location. What you really need is a baby sitter on Saturdays ;-)
