Layout blind

I'm thinking of making one of these .lay in the field under camouflage type hides .so I can get closer to the hundreds of wiley crows that plague the area .

Anybody used one or have any advice as to style or use .?

I use one for most of my shooting nowadays, a Silosocks Ghillie Backpack Layout Blind. Added loads of coloured raffia grass and it blends in well on the land I shoot. I set up in the middle of a field and place the decoys around me. Keeping still until the crows are in range i don't find it uncomfortable at all to shoot. Makes very exciting shooting.

Was starting to think no one in the UK does it .

I know the Americans use them for duck hunting over massive fields.

I have a couple of large fields on my perm and I think decoying crows into the centre of a field is gonna be easier than to the edge .

Also I think my wee .410 is gonna be ideal for this style of decoying as its fast and light and hopefully the ranges should be shorter .

You have most likely already seen this video, but it might help you to design a blind.

Yeah watched that last night .food for thought.

Just thinking a simple cheap camo sleeping bag and a back rest with a camo net over it .and a camping mat to lay on to keep warm .
