Feltwad Posted October 9, 2017 Report Share Posted October 9, 2017 For driven pheasant and partidge I prefere number 5 or 6 shot , has a black powder shooter I use a cartridge load of 2.3/4 drms of medium black powder to 1.1/8 oz of shot which is a volume load , I also use the same load for 12 bore muzzle loaders I prefer to take driven birds in front with reasonable lead I have always said with this type of bird if you can see the bird when you pull the trigger you have certainly shot behind Feltwad Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
