quentyn
hi all i have a small need for some non toxic subsonic loads, steel wont retain the ft/lbs so it will have to be bismuth / tmx i think i have 3 questions 1, will bismuth or TMX retain the energy like lead ? 2, anyone know how i can get some cartridges made up 3, can i just tip out some 20 gauge 30g no5 subsonics and replace shot with non toxic ? loads needed for some potential pest control near / over water Q
Guest cookoff013
1, neither tmx or bismuth will match lead. 2, Quentin, where are you located? Just give us a rough area. 3, do not break a shell and re pack it. It can end up badly. 4, my advice would be to reload bismuth, minimum a couple larger shotsizes. Walker570
I have loaded TMX in my 410 with excellent results but do not know how it would perform at sub sonic levels as I am driving it fairly hard. ? Call Clay & Game and see what he has to suggest.
Guest cookoff013
if one was so inclined you could find a lead subsonic recipe, maybe knock off alittle powder (half a grain or some such, depending on pressure and speed) and replace it with same volume of bismuth.
