Catamong
AA Man, Yes it was a good shoot, a typical Southdown layout over 14 stands using the bottom end of the ground, some seriously long crossers that need a couple of bus lengths lead, with a good balance of birds all round. A few trap breakdowns and flat batteries caused minor delays, (I can never understand why ground owners allow batteries to run down..??). I shot on the Sunday, weather was overcast with a gentle breeze, so no excuses there, Digweed had already posted a 94 from the previous day, I doubt whether that would have been beaten. My score was totally irrelevent, I wouldn't have won 10th place in "C" class, I shot a full 12 birds below my average. I'm just thankful that neither Pin nor Jonesy could make it, as they're both shooting pretty well at the moment and I'm sure they would have been on course to give me a good trouncing..!! tosspot
Learned a valuable lesson that should've been learned at the Essex Masters you can try and do too much in one day shot this event after the Sussex fair two rounds a 31 & 32 ex 40 which was rather pleasing then four goes on the pool shoot then a go on the snooker (which i won the card) On the back of shooting this by my standards quite well i was talked into doing S/Down that afternoon too much man just couldn't keep it together (Cat you were too kind about my score) granted it was a toughie and the weather didn't help but trying hard after such a full morning it just wasn't happening, think i dropped 16 birds on the first 5 stands, shot the longer targets well but missed far too many silly closer ones, ended up on a 68 and soo very nearly never handed my card in as this was my inaugural outing in A class  but what the hell it wasn't the lowest score in class, oh well. consoled myself with an 82ex100 the following day at Dragon, then a 41ex50 FITASC back at S/Down and a 22ex25 on the compact next weekend it's a bit of time at home methinks or the decree nici may be winging its' way to the doormat
