ShaggyRS6
I walked the dog tonight in an Orchard we go too sometimes, as we entered I saw a Pheasant laying in the grass right in front of us. I tied the dog up and went to investigate as I thought it was injured, I then found with the bird about 8 chick. Well 7 now, I stood on one in the long grass That will teach me to be curious. naddan28
bad luck but you did what was right and had the pheasant have been injuried at least you could have gave it help and possibly saved all the chicks. Dan
Suffolk shooter
Congratulations on tying the dog up first, not alot of people would have thought of doing that. Shame about the one, but you still did the right thing in checking. Next time you'll know. SS
Madcowz
I tied the dog up and went to investigate Good man, otherwise that could have been 9 'played with' birds. /Mad
pin
Similar note I was zeroing new scope@range which is on a large shoot, numbers of partridge/pheasant hanging about ready for next season. On the way out Mrs Partridge with 6 young baying at me. I stop, letting her get on with moving the young off the track. They proceed to sit down and please themselves. Not wanting to run them over I am out motioning them on, I start with my beaters noises and eventually clapping, Mother just looks at me like I am stupid. I drive onto the margin and round, then back onto the track. Bloody birds
