TIMMYFISHFINGER
hi, i've got a bsa lightning xl as well and am looking at pcp's. Logun solo looked good but i've decided on a HW100K with thumhole stock. Yes more money than the AA410 but it's germany's finest engineering and gets right good reports, not to mention 2 magazines, side cocking and the best silencer on the market..gets my vote and my cash!! Just need a good shooting ground near rochdale to use it on...any help gratefully excepted!!
BSA Shaun
You would not be wasting your money on either of those, but if you have a springer stick to it, for a while at least. No charging gear to buy, no worries about shots per charge and you are already shooting with it
Evil Elvis
:sly:and the best silencer on the market If thats the case, then why have the 3 people i know with them all changed them? Ive used one and after theobens and daystates, it seemed nasty!!!!
gunbutt
thanks for the advice.......im still thinking about sticking to a spring gun, i have had six or seven spring guns over the years and found most of them to be very reliable. the only thing im a little concerned with the pre-charged guns are the seals....what kind of maintenance do they need and how often? peter
pin
Depends on the gun really, the biggest thing you really need someone to do is check the air cylinder internally, ideally annually, for signs of corrosion. You do not want one of those popping on you  I have only ever bought 2 PCP's new from a shop, the same shop actually the Airgun Centre in Rayleigh, Essex. The geezer there offers free service and check-up annually for as long as you own the rifle, I am sure others do similar but I have no experience of them. If it is something that concerns you buying from a dealer who will support his sales would be worth considering.
