guzzicat
In ten gauge steel recipe can I substitute fiocchi cases for winchester, & federal 3.5" cases ?
Continental Shooter
not entirely sure but with a 12/20 gauge you would struggle with height so, i think it'll be the same in 10 gauge. typically, Us made hulls have atapered internal wall whilst the EU made ones are straight walled meaning they have a different internal capacity

Continental Shooter
check what the difference is using your standard recipe. For RTO you should always leave 6mm free at teh top to have a proper closure. If you're higher., try to reduce powder (0.05 grams) and wadding to suit; if you're lower, increase the powder (by no more than 0.05 grams) and increase the wadding to get to the right height) You should still be withing the standard of your load without any disruption to the pattern. cheers,
MAB1954
For a parallel case like the Federal and Fiocchi I have used same data with no problem in 3 inch 12g, I would stay away from using same data in a tapered case . You will get various views on here, you decide and at your risk. Good shooting.
