Greg.L
Does anyone know if the inflex II recoil pads from the current/new 525 is a straight fit to the older (pre Inflex) model? And vice versa? Will the old soild plate fit on the new model? Are the stock end dimensions identical? thanks in advance
Fishing Richie
I asked the same question at 2 local gun shops and both gave the same answer - ''No as the stocks are both totally different shape'' Both shops advised me it would be cheaper in the long run to replace the gun which I did eventually about 18 months ago. I bought a ''Limited Edition '' B525 G1 Adjustable with Trap Forend. The advantage of the inflex II pad is that there are 3 sizes (thicknesses) available and if that is not enough you can buy plastic shims to increase the LOP to your requirements. I have shot much better with the replacement gun as I have been able to adjust it to fit me unlike the old model. Rich
DanWalker
Not sure this is any help but it's a similar enough shape that I have one on my 1983 Miroku 6000 grade III - it's about 0.5mm too wide overall, so 0.25mm per side. I could sand it smooth but it doesn't affect my mount and I'm lazy. I wouldn't say that it has made a massive difference - getting the comb made adjustable to fit properly cut out a lot more felt recoil. kentish
Out of interest does anyone know the model year/browning date code to which this distinction applies? Edited September 6, 2018 by kentish
