Guest
After pulling my hair out for almost 2 weeks due to hardly seeing a pigeon on all the drilling’s it was a pleasant surprise to see a few feeding on a field of drilled wheat down the side of a wood. After a short while with the bincoculars it was clear where the pigeons were flighting to the most frequently, a belt of tall conifers that provided good shelter from this cold easterly that’s blowing at the minute. Armed with nothing more than gun, cartridges, a sack and dog I positioned myself with the wind off my back in a nice opening and spent the next few rather enjoyable hours shooting a few pigeons coming into the wood. I finished up with 26 with Jet the lab making some cracking retrieves from the thick undergrowth that’s starting to emerge. Fishing Richie
Great bag in short time in what looks like some nice sunny weather. Time well spent.
