guzzicat
Just started work on the stock of my W.H.Pollard ,sbs ,sidelock ejector, patent No 481290 & "patented ejectors" on action flats, the only similar I can find is a W.Ford patent N481290, the ejector system is housed in a metal box on barrels, ;neath forend? The silver oval has a crest of a rampant lion, & the motto Quod Pibihoc Alteri,, this seems to be the Hesketh family crest. Any clues on Patent No? JJsDad
Another one described in the link below for ejectors: www.google.co.uk/patents/US481290
Graham M
The Hesketh motto is Quod Tibi Hoc Alteri. According to The Internet Gun Club Pollards records have ceased to exist, so it's going to be almost impossible to trace anything. You could try Sir Malcolm Guthrie who is a director of William Ford Ltd Address is - William Ford Limited, Brent Eleigh, Belboroughton, Worcestershire DY9 0DW
