Almost three months hire to be paid to the claims company! from the other party's insurance. Madness! So far so good, I'll name the firm when they collect the car as long as we don't get stung by any extras. Thank you all for your help. Good to see youre happy, as long as theres no obvious damage to the hire car , you should be good. 3 months to settle a non fault claim is somewhat scandalous, but par for the course in this day and age, who was it said on another thread that companies dont do this ? Ive just taken on an insurance job to replace a door on an A class Merc, theyve given me 8 hours labour, they were given the hire car last monday, even though I only got back to work today after being on holiday last week, the car was perfectly driveable , and the insurance company knew I wasnt starting it till today ! Go figure.
