Hi,

I'm new to pigeon shooting and would like to get involved, I have just bought my first gun.But I am very wary about buying too much expensive kit, I just want the essentials. Could anyone advise me on Pigeon Shooting Kit for a beginner on a budget?

Thanks

Pack of twelve half shell decoys around £24

Hide around £15-£20 off evilbay

Hide poles four for around £40 Or as some on here do adapt some washing line poles.

If you can afford it a 'Flapper' cost around £60 but are deadly in the right circumstances. My pidgeon/crow bags have increased big time since i bought one and i never leave the house without it :good:

What gun did you buy? And welcome to the forum. Why not fill in your profile so we can learn a bit about you..

I would avoid buying any expensive electrical gadgetry, until you have some experience in the basics.

The most important thing, is to get somewhere to shoot first. :good:

Check out the DIY tips on here for making your own floater/bouncer, if you can't afford to buy one (or two), these are a long term proven decoying asset.

Look around Boot Fairs for ex MOD cammo netting, as well as decoys.
