Ryan74
Just bought a norica 410 3 shot bolt action for the soul purpose of putting a suppressor on for rabbit as ile be using it in a paddock behind an industrial estate it has a 3 inch chamber. But it seems that it has trouble extracting the empty shell due to the swell on brass once fired. And I have to rod it out. I stripped it down bolt included and cleaned an oiled it. So I know the extractor spring is fine. It does empty and load with a 2. 1/2 shell but would rather use a 3 inch just for the extra clout. Does anyone have the same issue or use a certain brand of 3 inch cartridge that would help get over this problem. Just don’t want to bankrupt myself trying numerous boxes of ammo. Any help much appreciated.
Walker570
What brand are you using ? Is it new or s/h ? If s/h then check the chamber for any crud that could have built up, if you haven't already. A good scrub out of the chamber, with a stiff bristle brush and some barrel cleaning fluid, as it is amazing how little is needed to cause a 410 to stick. If your happy with the extractor then that is all I can think of.
snarepeg
You may find it's been fire ing 65mm for so long the extra 1/2 inch is corroded so it's causing more back pressure? a piece of dowel split and emery cloth in the drill could?? Sort it out??? never had any problems with mine.
