I think they are made of wool or some other material like it . I used them for reloading cartridges for a single J Burrow 4 bore I used to own, card and fibre as I recall? Circle fly offered several types of wad materials, I used the circle fly light fibre wads, to get the correct column height in a solid brass case! Black powder, cIrcle fly OP card wad, circle fly light fibre wads (to suit desired column height) circle fly US card wad, shot, circle fly OS card wad secured with Silicon mastic!
