CZ550Kevlar
I hVeva first generation hatsan and I've noticed it is jamming more than usual and also heavier recoil. i took it apart and the piston (part 908) that slides up the magazine tube, is sliding up on firing and jamming into the ring attached to the barrel. Anyone got any ideas? Sometimes it takes a hammer to get it out.
GingerCat
Is it otherwise in good condition? Cleaned? Is there a spring that goes on there, maybe needs replacing.
Lansdowne
Have you cleaned the piston and part it goes in to the barrel .it may be carbonised up a bit what size carts are you using .i use 70mm 28g with no problem is it the smart valve or the old type Edited September 30, 2019 by Lansdowne
CZ550Kevlar
It's the 1st model. The piston has a ring at one end, it's this ring that is getting stuck into the ring attached to the barrel. It is spinning rather freely and seems like it is loose and wobbles inside the groove in the piston, seems like it has stretched or expanded somehow. can someone with an escort pull the piston and tell me if their ring wobbles. EDIT- just looked on airgun spares and they have a replacement piston for £28.50 but that one has a wavy spring, mine has a short actual spring. Lansdowne
I have a gen 1 barrel on my gen2 hatsan .it has the piston in like the one from Knibbs .if it works in mine it should work in yours .the gun has not changed that much .its the same barrel only the choke threads are different gen1 has threads at top of choke gen2-3 have them at the bottom. do you now any one with a hatsan .and try there piston in your gun .i now hatsan have changed the design but I would think that any would fit .worth a try the rest of the gun is the same Edited October 1, 2019 by Lansdowne
CZ550Kevlar
Mine is a gen 1 gun and a gen 1 barrel, apparently that piston isn't compatible with my escort magnum. Luckily phoned a local gunshop and they had one acing around. Mine for £10 picked it up and fits fine, although Edgar's no longer supply that piston so when this one goes it's off to buy a new shotgun.
