henry d
The only real way to find out is to practice, but basically without touching the turrets, you need to aim the cross hairs higher for more distant targets and lower for nearer. Once you practice you will be able to know how many mil-dots you need to aim higher or lower for any given target.
luckytrigger
I dont have a milldot scope on my 22lr. All ive done is zeroe'd at 50yds but ive practiced shooting it at 70yds, 60, 30 and 15 yds so i know how much to aim off when im out hunting as long as ive estimated the range correctly!
