pork chop
I’ve made a shroud n need to put a baffle stack in it just wondered what’s people’s thoughts,I’ve read about different sized chambers and reduced hole sizes through out the stack but do you start with large chambers n holes n reduce towards front or other way round ? Ultrastu
Short. long. short So at the barrel muzzle .first a short chamber .then a longer one (twice the length ) then a short one before the shroud exit Also ideally you have felt inside between the baffels held out the way of the pellet travel with either a fine mesh or easier is a plastic hair roller . (Cheap as chips from the pound shop .)

Ultrastu
Yeah a decent reflex shroud with say a 6 inches infront of the muzzle can be just as quiet as a 9 inch standard mod just on the muzzle .especially if the shroud is vented at the rear near the breech . Right I’ve not put vents in back so would you recommend putting them in
Ultrastu
Yes .just 1 or 2 small holes about 2 mm should be enough . It allows the air to move rearwards down the reflex part (behind or along the barrel ) and out .with out the holes the muzzle blast would be trying to compress the captive air in that section . And basically wont .with the holes its not captive and allows expansion in that direction . Obviously the bigger the holes the more will be allowed to come rearwards .but .you then have air blowing backwards towards the shooter and that can be a touch uncomfortable if in the eye. A single 3 mm under the shroud should be descrete and not to in your face . And will work . Ps if your shroud doesnt allow air backwards from the muzzle dont bother .
