Spot on , the beech ones , again end grain up are slightly cheaper than the maple ..

If you used that soft wood to start cutting up on it wouldn’t last long and would be a health hazard ..As a look alike bit of furniture I wouldn’t be parting with more than £50 and that’s if I really wanted it ..
