ME
I have got an old phone I want to use for work. It was used on an Orange contract but the new sim is Vodaphone and it says it needs a code when the Voda sim is put in it. What is the best way to get the phone unlocked please ? john faul
i think you ring up the company and ask for the network unlocking code they will give to you but you probably will have to have used a certain amount of credit in it

If you know what your doing, and the phone is capable of being unlocked, then do it yourself, otherwise pay the money and get it done at a shop. There is always a risk of bricking the phone though so make sure its not a £400 handset with no insurance
malkiserow
Some phone shops will do it for you (not the brand name shops) ..... fleabay sells some software to unlock most makes/models

lurcherboy
If you PM YP he will give the URL to a site that gives you all the available unlocking codes. Be polite as he is knowm to bite heads off LB
paulos
most new handset cant be unlocked using codes off the web, they are unique to your IMEI, you probably wouldnt be able to get a code from orange if you do not have a contract with them though. local market is probably the best bet, and get it flashed
